We would like to welcome a new teacher to All Souls. Miss Hughes will be joining us at the start of

Community Carol Service
Please join us in our Carol Service on Wednesday 19th December at 6pm in All Souls’ Church. All the children are taking part in this celebration which will involve the whole church and school community and they are already rehearsing! We hope to see as many of you as possible at this celebration. You can watch one of the songs they performed at Millennium Place on Monday 10th December below.
School Choir
Our choir were out and about this week as you may have seen in the Coventry Telegraph. They did us proud singing in the City Centre. A very big thank you to all the parents, family and friends who came along to support them. Have a look at the photos here.

Y6 children and their families are invited to a Dol Y Moch Celebration Evening on Wednesday 12th December at 6.30 in the School Hall. Children will be sharing photos and memories and there will even be a short awards ceremony!
Netabll
Congratulations to the netball team who continued their winning streak with a 20–0 win at St Elizabeth’s on Tuesday and won 10 – 4 at St Mary and St Benedicts. Please note that there is no Netball Club on Thursday match days.
School Closures
At this time of year we can experience severe weather conditions. Whilst we are most reluctant to close the school it may be that Health and Safety concerns mean that we have to. This would be an absolute last resort. To find out if the school is closed you can
- Come to this page of our website where a message will be displayed.
- Listen to local radio stations (particularly Mercia )
- We will do our best to use our electronic texting system to alert you.
- Info can also be found about which schools have closed on www.coventry.gov.uk/schoolclosures
www.twitter.com/coventrycitycouncil and www.facebook.com/coventrycitycouncil
- If the school has to close during the school day the same procedures will be followed
Parents are requested not to phone the media as this impedes communication between schools and radio stations.
School Coats
As the really cold weather sets in, we have a selection of navy Regatta coats, with the school badge on, for sale in school. Sizes that are available are 9-10 & 11-12, priced at £20.00 each. If you would like to purchase a coat please bring payment into the office; cash or cheques payable to All Souls’ PTA.
Toys Needed
If you have any unwanted technological toys, which you no longer need, then Nursery and Reception class would be very grateful for them. These include toys which have buttons and other interactive devices.
Morrisons Vouchers
Please keep sending in the vouchers for garden equipment. This year I would like to be able to order two wheel barrows, fruit trees, a selection of seeds and bulbs.
Gardening Club
You will see that the greenhouse and shed have now arrived and the raised beds will also be coming within the next couple of weeks. As activity begins to increase we are looking for seeds and bulbs we can plant now, plant pots and any other useful garden equipment that is in good condition, especially bulb planters as I would like to have some spring colour in the garden areas at the front of the school.
